An acclaimed Korean filmmaker, Kim Ki-duk passed away late Friday December 11 in Latvia. He was at the age of 59.
Ki-duk participated in the 26th Tokyo International Film Festival with his produced film Red Family directed by Lee Ju-hyoung and won the Audience Award at the Competition section in 2013, and revisited the 27th festival with his produced film Made in China directed by Kim Dong-Hoo at the Asian Future section in 2014.
